TWA: Making Friends, Making a Difference
The Thornhill Women's Association (TWA) is a social and service-oriented organization that provides a broad base of activities and functions in the neighborhood. We are a diverse group of women and membership is open to all women living in Thornhill.
TWA sponsors events for the entire neighborhood. Volunteers from TWA organize and run the Easter Egg Hunt, Spring and Fall yard sales, Gift Bazaars, Adult Party, Fourth of July Parade and festivities, Newcomer's Brunch, Progressive Dinner, Halloween Carnival, Holiday Luminaries sale and lighting, Cookies with Santa, and more!
Monthly meetings range from social outings to in-home meetings that feature special programs and guest speakers. Past meetings include programs on gardening, health and fitness, fashion, as well as some annual favorites - the Salad Social, and Holiday Cookie Exchange. All meetings provide the opportunity to connect with your neighbors and to keep abreast of neighborhood events and all that is happening with TWA.
In addition to our social functions, TWA also serves to enrich our neighborhood and community. The Sunshine Committee greets new neighbors and babies in Thornhill and distributes the neighborhood directory. We work in conjunction with the Homeowners Association on neighborhood beautification projects and clean-up days.
All Thornhill women are invited and encouraged to participate in any/all of our activities. Members' dues and/or contributions fund all that we do and we hope that you will choose to be active and support TWA. Dues for 2011 are $20. Please complete the membership form, include payment, and deliver to Michelle Ludwiczak at 6901 Wolf Run Drive. New members are always welcome! We need your input, suggestions, fresh ideas and helping hands.
