We Need You!
How to help
Volunteers are vital in a successful community. In Thornhill, we believe that no one can do everything, but everyone can do something!
Committees of the Board
In addition to longstanding committees such as Social and Architectural Control, the Board of Directors may also seat committees to work on specific topics or tasks. From researching potential vendors to setting out holiday decorations, Thornhill volunteers assist the Board in achieving its goals for the community each year. If you have expertise to share, are interested in serving on a committee, or helping with a particular task, please reach out to the Board (ThornhillBODnc@gmail.com).
Social Committee
The Social Committee organizes community activities and events that are sponsored by the Association and open to all Thornhill residents. These include holiday happenings, yard sales, social activities and food truck visits. Traditional annual events include an Easter Egg Hunt, July 4 Celebration, Fall Festival, Luminary Night, and Cookies with Santa.
Architectural Control Committee
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) keeps the community looking fresh and helps protect the investment in our homes. The committee is made up of Thornhill homeowners, and is tasked with reviewing member applications for exterior modifications and improvements. ACC members may also accompany the management company on monthly maintenance drives of the community.
Legal Committee
The Legal Committee serves to advise and assist the Board on legal matters related to the Association and helps develop policy and procedures.
